Emme's Garden is a home-based business located on a farmstead in Pottawatomie County, Kansas. Our goal is to provide quality, affordable, handcrafted dolls and clothing to those who want and appreciate hand-crafted goods.  Our dolls are heirloom quality, and we have seen firsthand what a doll can mean to a child.  Though the dolls cost quite a bit to make, we keep them as affordable as possible.  They are hand-sewn with hair made from fine Ironstone wools and 100% cotton knit bodies.  We believe that the multicultural aspect of the dolls has quite a number of positive effects as well, and we are always happy to produce custom ordered dolls. 

Meet Emme and the rest of her Garden Helpers:

This business came into being quite naturally as a result of the choices that we have made for our family. Emme stays home full-time and homeschools our three children and everyone is involved in our business. Each doll comes into being through Auntie Emme's care and precision. Our dolls are carefully scrutinized under the watchful eye of our seven-year-old quality control expert, Madeline.  Madeline would keep all of them if she could, but she knows she must share them with other children. Our two sons help by winding yarn for the dolls. Dad helps with the practical aspects of the business such as building, toting and shipping.
